COMPANY HISTORY

    Hansen Insurance is a subsidiary of WJH CORPORATION, a California Corporation.  The firm was founded in 1961 by Thomas C. Hansen.  Tom began his career in the insurance industry in the late 1950's and in January of 1961 started Hansen Insurance.  In the late 1980's William Hansen, second generation, became the President of the organization and currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer.

    Hansen Insurance has grown in size from the humble beginnings in the early 60's placing coverage only  in the State of California, to Today, offering coverage throughout the Western United States, Georgia, Missouri, Pennsylvania and the State of Florida to various Commercial and Personal customers.  The firm insures all types of Commercial and Personal customers.  The Commercial Insurance department facilitates the risk management and insurance placement for small start-up companies to publicly traded national corporations including companies with exposures on foreign soil . The Personal Insurance department facilitates the needs of the individual renting an apartment to the homeowner with multiple vacation homes throughout the United States.  The employee benefits department handles group health, group dental, group life and various 401-K retirement plans.
